American Graffiti: is it a musical? In spite of wall-to-wall music, I don't think so. Ron Howard and Cindy Williams have the floor and the spotlight to themselves. Under those circumstances, there's no more romantic phrase to hear from your girl as she buries her face against your shoulder than, "Go to hell."

Jean Pierre Cassel started out as a dancer and was good enough to weave it into several of his early DeBroca's THE LOVE GAME, LE FARCEUR and FIVE DAY LOVER. Check him out from about 40 seconds into the first one.... I can't find the clip of the amazing dance sequence in BONJOUR TRISTESSE where the whole quayside comes alive.. but check it out - as good a dance sequence as Minnelli's best .. but Here'e seberg from earlier in the film

When Glenn Ford first visits the high school at the beginning of Blackboard Jungle, some of the boys are dancing together in the schoolyard. Looks like it's gonna be a fun place.

1941 - The USO dance No, it's not a very good movie and, yes, it was Steven Spielberg's first flop. But I include it for sentimental reasons: my squeeze and several friends were among the dancers; I was studying tap at the time with the film's choreographer, Paul De Rolf; I watched Spielberg shoot parts of this sequence (which was done not on a soundstage at Universal or any other studio, but in a large building on Victory Blvd in Burbank that had once been an automobile dealership showroom, the interior of which had retained its original streamline moderne architecture befitting the period).

- In the romantic comedy The Swan (1956), there's a long waltz scene with Grace Kelly and Louis Jordan. - There is a formal Christmas party, with dancing, in the MGM film Little Women (1948). (I envy you folks being able to find, isolate and post so many visuals. I was able to do it on the "old boards," but I haven't mastered the knack, here. )

(I envy you folks being able to find, isolate and post so many visuals. I was able to do it on the "old boards," but I haven't mastered the knack, here. ) I'm by no means a whiz at much of anything having to do with PCs and so forth, but here's what's been working for me. I do all my image searches with Bing (I find Google Images difficult to use). The rest depends on your browser. I alternate between Chrome, Edge and Firefox, but the process works pretty much the same. Once you've located and displayed an image you want, right-click within it, and select "Copy Image Link" (or "Copy Image Address" or "Copy Image Location" or something to that effect, depending on the browser). Then select the "Insert Image" icon at the top of the post you're authoring, and paste the link/address/location in the space provided, and hit the "Insert Image" button. Your image should display immediately. If not, somethings gone wrong...and it usually has to do with whatever site you're getting it from, some of which don't allow "hotlinking," I think they call it. I get about a 90% success rate. And I'm a lazy guy who does everything the easiest way possible.

In an attempt to arouse primal passion in the innocent Christian girl Mercia (Elisa Landi), Prefect of Rome Marcus Superbus (Fredric March) has Ancaria (Joyzelle Joyner) perform the erotic "Dance of the Naked Moon" a dance that will "warm her into life". The infamous dance was cut from the 1932 negative for a censored production code reissue in 1938 and was not seen again until the film's restoration in 1993. The Sign of the Cross (1932).
