1991 is an action classic.

Point Break made sense to remake. There was A LOT you could have done with a remake, but the people behind the remake decided to half ass it and not understand why people liked the original. Heck Bodhi in this was terrible and I don’t even think Edgar is a bad actor, but he was not cool like Swayze was. I know Gerard Butler was originally going to play Bodhi in the remake and I COULD HAVE seen him doing great in that role.
The actor playing Utah I swear was trying to outdo Keanu with his whole surfer dude attitude. Also what the hell was with the color in this? It’s like someone else said “someone spilled Monster Energy over the camera and just went with it.” It’s almost like the remake was trying to say “OMG WE ARE SO EXTREME!!! MORE EXTREME THAN THE ORIGINAL YEAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!”
The original isn’t even one of my favorites. It’s not a bad movie though and I can see why people like it, but again the remake had a chance to be better.
