The third place contest that took place last night was worth watching. Peru took an early lead and Colombia had to stage a comeback. It was tied up again at 2 - 2 and looked like it was headed for penalties until Colombia scored just as extra time was running out, 3 - 2 win for Colombia.
Tonight's final, Argentina vs Brazil comes on at 5 pm Pacific Time on Fox Sports 1.
Will Messi finally get a win with his national team in a major tournament? Or will Neymar and Brazil frustrate him once again?

I don't have big hopes that it will be a classic for the ages but I will be watching.

Neither Pelé nor Maradona ever won the Copa America.

At the half, Argentina seems fearless of Brazil, and with good reason so far?

Nice finishing by Di Maria to give Argentina the lead, after a blunder by the Brazilian defender.

Brazilian goal rightfully disallowed for offside, and then a few minutes later Martinez makes a great save to keep the hosts scoreless.

Neymar early second-half playacting trying to get a penalty out of Montiel for nothing, falling to the ground, getting up and abusing Montiel after the event. For me, Neymar single-handedly renders it nigh on impossible to wish the win upon Brazil.

Martinez! Behind a cluster of his own defenders he springs into action to perform a reflex save from a fierce Brazilian drive on '88. As good a save as I've seen in weeks.

Congratulations to Argentina and the Messi fc brigade, he finally done it at the 10th attempt of trying, we'll gloss over he ghosted the entire final but divine intervention of an Angel came to his blessings, though he rightfully deserves a major tournament success to his achievements.

They didn't play the Copa America every other year in those days.

They didn't play the Copa America every other year in those days. Argentina won in 1991 and 1993. Maradona played in the 1990 and 1994 World Cups. I guess he chose not to play in those two editions of the Copa America.

Pele played in only 1 Copa America and Maradona only two. Lionel Messi has played in SIX editions.
