The amount of films that we have left to look forward to seeing, is actually pretty small you ever notice that?
It's only these ones: Hellraiser Candyman Rogue Squadron Avatar 2, if that ever gets made even. following Quentin Tarantino film. the wizard of Oz.
and Dune.
When you think about it it kinda sucks that after these films, there's nothing to look forward to seeing, you ever notice that? Because i'm pretty sure that no one can name even one film that will come out later besides the previous ones i named, that people are anticipating to see.

There's another Hellraiser? They say it may or may not be made. A remake of hellraiser from 1987 by clive barker could happen.

What's this "we" stuff? To speak for myself, I typically look forward to most animated films that come around, especially from the foreign and independent scenes. As to the films you mentioned, I only have the faintest interest in Rogue Squadron and possibly the new Candyman film.

Yes, it sucks.. Almost every movie I see nowadays suck. There isn't a single movie I'm looking forward to watch. I try to find movies by directors I like, but some of those won't play for various reasons. I really need that feeling of being satisfied after watching a great movie. I think I've only seen two or three very good movies, "La Terrazza", "The Visitors", and "Paradise: Love" and about 50 bad ones, half which I turned off after 30 minutes.

The only movies I'm looking forward to right now would be the next Batman, No Time To Die, the Knives Out sequels and Malignant (but only because it's supposed to be a giallo).

How can they do a sequel to Knives Out?

Got ya, no conversation required here then, carry on. For the record though, just because I'm an animation fan doesn't mean I don't have an appreciation for live action nor do I have a strong bias that would make me automatically rank one over the other. Live action or animated, everything must be judged on it's own individual merits.

What do you expect? This is corporate rot.
You cannot create cultural works as if you are re-packaging a soft drink in a board room. That's how they approach it.
If the people in charge, do not care about film--and they don't--they really don't-I bet they don't even watch film--so they will hire people they get along with--meaning people who don't really care or aren't vetted for talent. So you have an atmosphere that is not conducive for art creation. It's a like a school that changes staff to people who hate education--eventually it will show in the results of students.
They restrict artists way too much.
They say: "okay, here a make a film--BUT it has to be a Star Wars sequel or prequel, it has to be characters from this brand, and we really want something in here about the importance of accepting trans, so are you on board with all that?"
"Of course! I love the Star Whores universe and transpeople! In fact my gender is changing right as we speak."
You aren't going to get good art under those circumstances.

How can they do a sequel to Knives Out?
It will have Daniel Craig's detective solving a new murder. I don't think any of the other characters will return.

The Knives Out sequel is being exclusive to Netflix if I'm not mistaken.

That makes sense. After we saw the movie I was thinking damn they really need to give his character another movie, he's like Columbo, but I never thought it would actually happen.
