Somebody rated this a 9? Seriously? What does that make The Winter Soldier, a 12?
I'd give this a 6.5. No lower than 6 but no higher than 7.

I voted it a 10 without having seen it.

No lower than 6 but no higher than 7. wow it's almost like someone doesn't agree with you on those movies' respective qualities. There should be a word for that...let's see...'doesn't agree' maybe we can contract that to like....dotgree or... doegree

5/10. Get a more competent director next time.

I'd give it a 7/10. It was overall pretty good but I'd say it was one of the weaker ones. I'd put it above say the Ant-Man films but worse than say Iron Man 2 and 3.

I actually think it's pretty comparable to Thor: TDW and suffers from a lot of the same issues.
TDW had a very strong 1st act, a 2nd act that deals with family dynamics, then gets a terrible 3rd act. TDW had a decent if somewhat dull performance from its lead actor but was overshadowed by a side character. TDW had some some pretty good fight scenes, especially near the beginning, but they all start falling flat the further into the movie we got. In the end, none of the fight scenes are that memorable. TDW has a horribly developed and weak main villain. TDW had a secondary villain who basically functions as the silent enforcer. Looks and acts scary but doesn't get much development. TDW's final climactic scene is a CGI mess of people fighting through the air.

Don't know why she wouldn't have wanted to be part of it. For all of my complaints about it, Black Widow was still an objectively better film than other blockbusters that Scarjo has taken part of like GHost in the SHell or Lucy. Plus this movie probably paid her a much larger talent fee.

Much less having a whole film only about black widow.

My rating is around 7/7.5 out of 10.
The film was fun and I'm glad they tackled the dark subject matter and took it seriously. But at the same time I wasn't a fan of what they did with "Taskmaster" and I felt like maybe some of the "humor" should have been taken out.

I don't rate, I describe.
I liked it. It's a shame it couldn't drop much sooner, though.
I liked the beginning, even if the remix of Smells Like Teen Spirit felt...not bad, but strange. It didn't not work, but my familiarity with the original version is almost too strong to accept any substitutes. Almost.
I liked the backstory. All the new actors did a terrific job. Rachel Weisz is always good, and I've always appreciated the fact she can go seamlessly from Blockbuster to indie projects. She's a real actor's actor. The sheriff from Stranger Things also did well. Very interesting take/spin on a Russian Captain America type character and all the failed ambitions and bravado it comes with. Florence Pugh's doing great.
The only thing that didn't work for me really was the post-credit scene with...what's her name, again? Elaine from Seinfeld? Val? It didn't work because it seemed tacked on to accommodate the delayed opening. Or maybe it was always there, and appearing first in Falcon and the Winter Soldier...honestly, I don't know. I don't know which appearance was supposed to be first, but I liked the finality of the story before the post-credit scene implied it wasn't over yet. It's never really "over", but I don't mind bits and pieces of closure.
I liked the story, I liked the theme. Yeah, I liked it. It felt like a nice little side-chapter to the main-story; filler between Avengers movies. It really is just too bad it didn't come out after Civil War, and perhaps without the extra credit scene, though I guess if they kept the extra credit scene, Val's entry would have been worked into FATWS differently. I am not Googling her name. If it's not Val then I'm sorry, but also, f--- it.
