Wasn't Due Date accused by critics/people of being a ripoff of Planes, Trains, & Automobiles? This is like comparing E.T. to Mac and Me (cue someone creating a thread for that now).

Due Date is considered much better than Mac and Me. Mac and Me is often considered one of the worst movies ever made.

Planes, Trains & Automobiles, but it's actually really close for me.

I’m in the minority, but I prefer Due Date.

Upon rewatch, Planes, Trains didn't hold up for me.
Due Date was surprisingly enjoyable, even though I don't really like Galifianakis.

The only things I enjoyed about Due Date, was the part when Robert Downey Jr. suckerpunched that god awful brat, and even better. He gets away with it. That, and the use of Pink Floyd and Hey You. But overall, a pretty mediocre and forgettable roadtrip/buddy comedy, that is miles off, compared to the classic film that is Planes, Trains and Automobiles.
Planes, Trains and Automobiles (1987) - 10/10 Due Date (2010) - 5/10

Haven’t seen Due Date all the way through so I’m going with Planes.
Now they’re officially remaking Planes Trains and automobiles with Will Smith and Kevin Hart. …yay?

Plain Trains and Automobiles…I’ll hopefully always love John Candy.

I guess by the pace of potential John Candy late 80s comedy remakes, that nobody asked for. Uncle Buck is most likely up next for Hart.

Uncle Buck was already remade with Mike Epps as a tv show. Hm, I think that one has managed to pass me by. Might have heard of it, back in the day though, but never got around to see it. Not sure if it is something to bother looking up either.
