Are any of you gonna check this out?
I think I will. I'm not really expecting much from it, but I love seeing the Looney Tunes characters again.

On paper it has me wondering who the target audience is? People that saw and like the first film I guess . A younger audience? Do children today know what Looney Tunes is. Are Bugs, Daffy etc as popular as they were decades ago? Is LeBron James a name that can draw in a international audience? Much like Jordan, outside the US, in many countries, he's a known name but I reckon there is a big gap between the people knowing who he is and those who actually watch what he does on the basketball court. Basketball isn't quite the most viewed sport in the world - depending on where you look and how it is worked out it seems to be between the 3rd and 9th most popular but waaay behind football (soccer) and cricket. Having said that, I'm sure more people now have seen James on TV than Jordan back in the day. When I was younger Jordan was more know for his sneakers! I'm sure his popularity in the States alone though will make it successful enough.

Well that's the thing, when I was a kid, everyone my age knew about the Looney Tunes and were excited about seeing them in a new movie. Today's kids most likely have no idea who the Looney Tunes even are, let alone care about seeing them in this.

It's milking these tired brands as usual.
They aren't making them because of a focus on the cartoon characters. It's a mashup and politicized as well. I don't think most people associate Bugs Bunny and friends with basketball. Maybe baseball or football, but that's it.
"Hey Foggy, let's show them the ol '33 skidoo play!"

Probably, but not in theaters. My biggest issue is that this was a movie YEARS TOO LATE!!! Not only that, but it doesn’t even feel like a Space Jam movie. Yeah the Looney Tunes are in it, but i’m seeing all these different characters from different movies and shows. Is this Ready Player One or is it Space Jam? Apparently the makers behind the movie don’t either.
Also I don’t really care for LBJ. I understand he’s a good basketball player, but he’s a dumbass outside of basketball.

Probably not. As much as I like the Looney Tunes, I'm not feeling too positive about A New Legacy.

They should have brought back Billy West, I thought he did the best Bugs Bunny voice after Mel Blanc died.

I have no interest even though the first movie was all the rage when I was a kid. This movie is probably being done more as a nostalgia trip then a legitimate sequel.
