Thoughts on these movies? BestAnatomy of a Murder (1959) - 8/10 American Psycho (2000) - 8/10 The Maltese Falcon (1941) - 6/10 Full Metal Jacket, Dr Strangelove and Touch of Evil I own, but have not seen the last two, where as Full Metal Jacket I saw many times back in the early to mid 00s, but not done so since. And as a rule, I never rate films I have not seen, for that long. As very often, my feelings have most likely changed towards them, and sadly, not for the better. Hopefully it might be one of the few ones, that will still live up to my memories of it. Son of the Mask (2005) - 2,5/10Basic Instinct 2 (2006) - 3/10 Midnight Ride (1990) - 5/10 Sleepwalkers (1992) - 5/10 Midnight Ride, was quite something else. I guess what sticks out the most, was the over the top villainous part by Hamill, who did a very Jokerish part, even a few years before his involvment with the classic Batman: The Animated Series arrived, and yeah, not hard to see where that kind of psychotic laugh and grin would fit in so well, later on that is.

Full Metal Jacket (1987 Stanley Kubrick) - Has there ever been a nastier character than Gunnery Sgt. Hartman? Sadly once he dies the movie becomes far less interesting. - 7.5/10
The Maltese Falcon (1941 John Huston) - Haven't seen it for a long time. 8/10
Dr. Strangelove (1964 Stanley Kubrick) - I always found this a bit overrated. 7/10
Touch of Evil (1958 Orson Welles) - One of my favourite films. Still visually stunning. 9/10
American Psycho (2000 Mary Harron) - This really grew on me over the years. I still prefer the book though. 8/10

In fact that movies was my introduction to the band Nightwish after hearing the song 'Wish I had an Angel' in the end credits. I'm normally not into metal, but I like Nightwish. I even own one of their albums, Century Child.

I found Journey's End on YT this afternoon and yes, it is a bit slow and talky, but I thought Colin Clive gave a solid performance and it was worth the watch, 6/10.
