Damn. Wrigleyville will not like this. If Kimbrel records the final out in the World Series while the Cubs WS team is broken up, that will not sit well. And the White Sox bullpen is evil.
How will history treat the 2015-20 Cubs? Yeah, the broke the curse. But this was a solid team, most of the stars were young and the Cubs had the scratch to keep the team together for a while. Now busted up with only one title. And came within an eyelash of not getting that.
By “evil”’ you mean “trash”, right? Although Kimbrel and Tepera from the Cubs boosts it significantly. What's wrong with Liam Hendricks and Michael Kopech? Both have been very good

Gibson is a solid pickup. Nice numbers on a rotten team. And he's not just a two month rental Kennedy, not so sure. A Jekyll and Hyde player. Great at times, lousy at times. And he's a rental

Looking at Gibson's stats he seems to be having a career year
Looks rather mediocre - although in 2019 posted a 13-7 record
13-7 record with a 4.84 ERA? Twins must have given him a lot of run support.....
I like it. At least upper management and ownership are trying to win this year....
He can't be any worse than Matt Moore...slot him at as our 4th man in the rotation......

I'll take it, but he is a frustrating guy. Is he going to play second or third? He'll play short until Lindor comes back in a few weeks, then I assume he'll play second base while JD Davis and Jeff McNeil platoon at third base.
