I did an IMDB collaboration search and Goldmember is the only movie with both of them in it, and they're not exactly lead roles.
It seems like these two top Scientologist actors would want to work together in something.

It would probably result in a lot of mockery that the two of them would want to avoid.

Cruise doesn't want to do direct-to-DVD stuff.

Cruise doesn't want to do direct-to-DVD stuff. Up your nose with a rubber hose, man!

Cruise doesn't want to do direct-to-DVD stuff. You know what, that's probably the reason.

I assume it would lead to a sex scandal somehow.

Cruise doesn't want to do direct-to-DVD stuff. He doesn't really have to at this point either. His movies still perform pretty well. At least the Mission Impossible ones. His other ones do a pretty modest job. I do think it'd be fun to see a limited series on streaming service with guys like Travolta, Cage and Cruise doing some big project together.

Probably because it would be beneath Cruise at this point. The real question is why hasn't Nicholas Cage and Travolta done a movie together?

Cruise's ego is too big for him to want to share the publicity surrounding a movie with anyone else. Regardless of how far John's career might have fallen off, he'd get equal the attention if this happened, and Tommy couldn't handle that.

Cruise doesn't want to do direct-to-DVD stuff. He doesn't have to. Partnering with Cruise would benenfit Travolta a lot and he'll end up doing some high profile project as a result. Both are good friends in real life. I'm suprised it hasn't happened. I've got another question: Why haven't Tom Cruise and Will Smith worked together?
