Lol I was wondering when someone was gonna do this. Honestly didn’t care for the original. So my vote is going to the remake.

Ben Foster was ok in the remake, but I’ve seen him in better.

Ben Foster is good in the remake, because he is good in everything. Even the Warcraft movie lol? Yes. His performance is one of the very few aspects of the movie I like. Okay, maybe GOOD isn't the way to put it. He is entertaining in the movie and when he is on screen are the only parts I wasn't bored.

You have to swipe over whatever words you want in bold and then push the B button on top of the page when you reply to someone. Right here on the top it says Font Face, Font Size, then has the color circle box and next to that is the BOLD button. I think it is different on a phone though. Someone can probably do a better job explaining it than me.

The remake's existence prompted me to watch the original. I figured if it was being remade i should check it out. I have yet to see the remake.

I did not care much for the original back in the day, thought it dragged on, and yeah, I had fallen in love with the 80s Charles Bronson Cannon era, which were fast paced, hilarious and highly enjoyable b-movies, but over time, I began to dig the more hard edged and slow paced, yet often gritty and cool looking crime and action-thrillers he put out during his heyday of the early to mid 70s. And where Mr. Majestyk, Death Wish, and Hard Times soon became favorites, specially the latter one, which is among my favorite 70s movies. The Mechanic however, did grow on me, very much, and I enjoyed it way more, on a second viewing. Bronson as the cold and calculated veteran, looking for a potential heir to his line of work, with Jan-Michael Vincent, and the two had quite a chemistry going, and one I might have to give another visit soon. My favorite scene, has to be the slow suicide part, and that ice cold and chilling smile Bronson gives out, when the female part, says something about how Vincents character feels something for her, and yeah, stuff like that, and how well it suited Bronson back then, is what makes it so more interesting than the much later remake, which as with the Death Wish starring Bruce Willis, I did not dislike, in fact I actually enjoyed both of the films, but not the type I will ever bother re-visiting. "How much do you weigh?" Original - 8/10Remake - 6/10

2011. Statham as usual is badass in the role and the action is well shot. Foster is decent as well.
1972 is one dull action movie with poorly shot action scenes.

Mouth, if you read this, it means I'm disappointed in your opinion of this fine actioner. It also means you've broken a filament controlling a 13-second delay trigger. End of post. Bang, you're dead

To be fair I didn't even finish it. It’s interesting to me that you can finish movies like 8½, The Silence, Stalker, etc. but found The Mechanic too boring to finish. It is because my taste is more towards those artsy movies. I find those movies thought provoking, fascinating and emotionally compelling. They are also just far better made. Great looking movies and cinematography and music are huge for me when it comes to the experience for me. They challenge my mind and my emotions.

To be fair I didn't even finish it. It’s interesting to me that you can finish movies like 8½, The Silence, Stalker, etc. but found The Mechanic too boring to finish. Okay, to be completely honest it might have mostly had to do with an irrational hatred of Jan Michael vincent's acting. The reason I didn't finish the movie. I did find it to be an uninteresting movie and didn't care at all about any of the characters or what they were doing, but that wouldn't have been enough to keep me from finishing the movie. It is Jan Michael Vincent that I couldn't take anymore. I also just find Michael Winner to be an bland director, though he does have a few movies I like. I like Death Wish (only after re-watching it), Chato's Land and Lawman. Bronson himself has grown on me more. I would say now I am a moderate fan of him. If I were to rate him as an actor and presence in movies it would be a 6.5/10. Michael Winner as a director would be more like 5.5/10.

Bang, you're dead I watched it all the way through and like it a bit more than before. Still have some of the same problems, but I wasn't as bothered by Jan-Michael Vincent this time. If you see him as a sociopath then his vacant performance sort of works. But that vacant performance sort of is what the entire movie feels like to me in a way. It's a slog to get through, with some interesting stuff here and there.
