I used to be into the NBA, but I’ve gotten out of it the last few years, the emergence of super-teams and 4 straight Warriors/Cavs finals got me out of it. I watched a bit of it last year when they were in the bubble in Orlando, the Heat are my favorite team and I liked seeing them in the finals a year ago but I don’t follow them much.

Indianapolis Colts Cincinnati Reds Arsenal/England national team
I follow the NBA and NHL without really choosing a team as such. I have teams I like more than others.

White Sox, Rockets (but I'll happily jump on any remaining Texas teams once Houston are out), Dallas (Seattle are my second team).
And why? I have an Aunt in Tacoma and cousins in El Paso and Chicago.

Giants in the NFL and the a distant second the Yankees in Baseball.
The Rangers in the NHL are probably in 3rd now for me since I really hardly ever watch basketball anymore, but grew up as a die hard Knicks fan. They're still my team, but for the reasons someone else outlined above, I just totally fell out of following the NBA in the pile-on team era.
In college basketball men's/women's it's Uconn, but I only really start watching when the tournament starts.
Have no fandom in college football. I'll watch games occasionally, but it doesn't do it for me like pro football. All I know is I don't like Saban, so I guess I'll root against Alabama. And I have friends that went to Penn State, so it's easy to root against them too.
No Soccer affiliation unless the US team is in the world Cup.
Got into Australian Football a little bit, but never aligned with a team.

MLB- Phillies NFL- Eagles NBA- 76ers NHL- Flyers Others: SSC Napoli UNC Tarheels Basketball Notre Dame Football The three others may seem odd considering I’m a Philly guy. SSC Napoli- I lived in Bagnoli and then Aversa for two years. Napoli is the only professional football club I have ever attended a game for. UNC basketball- my 7th grade English teacher was married to the Simon Gratz basketball coach. Rasheed Wallace was the star player at Gratz and the time and mrs Ellerbee arranged for Rasheed to come visit our class. Rasheed went to UNC the next year and I was hooked. Norte Dame football- as an Irish-American living in Philly, ND was the default college. Everyone wore ND gear or had a Fighting Irish tattoo.

And my hatred for UNC basketball might seem odd for a WNY resident. I'm old enough to remember the 70's, before ESPN, Fox Sports, the interweb. College BB was three games on the weekend and one was always, UCLA. The others were either Indiana, Kentucky or UNC. And, if it was Carolina, it was Dean Smith and the fucking Four Corners. One of the three games consisted of UNC passing he ball back and forth for 20-40 minutes. Whee! Gt so I hated just seeing "1 pm, college basketball, UNC vs Maryland" or whoever in the TV Guide. Unreasonable, certainly. Dean is dead, the shot clock exists and the 4 Corners is no more. But I'll hold on to my hate. It turned me into a semi Duke fan and i really don't like Duke. My brother played HS BB with Chris Laettner so I had to root for him for a while

Had an Eric Montross jersey and a ton of Carolina Starter gear
Used to get incredibly geared up for their yearly wars with Duke - the 2nd game always fell around my birthday
Same with Notre Dame since I'm Irish - used to love watching them as a kid
