1981 easily
The only thing I liked in the remake was the glowing eyed desert guy--it was kind of cool that he could withstand a Medusa stare but the movie was such a mess. I cannot believe how stupid movies like this have become. The opening credits show an eagle--Zeus-flying up skyscraper with little statues in it. A homage to the sculpture room in the original-but why would Zeus as an eagle want to fly around a skyscraper like that? It has no practical use. It looks cool-that's it. The kraken looked a little better in the remake but that's not saying much.
The Pegasus intro was done poorly--all those flying horses disappear quickly to save money on CGI costs. Likewise Medusa was very swift--probably to save money.
I hate to say this but the puppet skeleton Charon in the original gave a more lively performance than anyone in the remake.

1981 version is great.
The remake isn’t bad, but not as good.

I haven't seen the original since I was a kid and barely remember it, but I can't imagine it not being better than the remake.
I don't hate the 2010 movie, but it is just a generic cgi-fest with a bunch of phoned in performances from good actors. 4.5/10
I actually prefer Wrath of the Titans.

The original Clash has a magical atmosphere to it that feels like you are watching a fairy tale in motion, the remake is basically another run of the mill, big budget spectacle flick.

This should be a wipeout, because it's basically a total lesson in how to use special effects vs. how not to use special effects, and how to make an inspiring story vs. how to make a totally uninspired story.

The Kraken from the remake shits on anything from the original that is how you design a sea monster. The original lead is better than Sam Worthington.
