I pick Christopher Reeve, although for me it's a lot closer than I suspect it is for most people.

Physicality - Cavill
Performance - Reeve
I like both though and I think Cavill is good at playing the somber and deadly serious version that is in Man of Steel, but Reeve plays him with the humorous goofy Daily Planet side perfectly and that is why he wins.

Cavill's Superman is devoid of charisma. Reeves had it in spades. His more comedic, bumbling take on Clarke Kent was a fun contrast with his much more confident performance as Superman. I couldn't bring myself to actually like Cavill's version of the character, though he certainly looked the part.

I think Christopher Reeve's Superman was devoid of charisma while Henry Cavill had charisma. Christopher Reeve was always very stiff and smiled like an 80s car salesman with a car antenna up his ass when as Clark Kent. As Superman I'd say he was equal with Henry as in quite good.

Clark Kent's not supposed to have charisma. Then why is this thread even a thing then? If he's not charismatic as Clark then he's the same as Henry Cavill.

Reeve. The perfect Superman.
Cavill is bland and lacks charisma. His Superman lacks personality and is too robotic.

Cavill is in the better movie, so he wins.
MOS = Epic sci-fi/action drama.
S:TM = Cornball camp a la the '60s Batman TV show.

Christopher Reeve for the win. I probably liked Brandon Routh move than Henry Cavil.
