I was just thinking about this while watching Nicolas Cage in Vampire's Kiss a few months back. The guy's a talented actor, brilliant even on occasion. But, the fact remains that a significant chunk of his body of work is utter crap.
The Carradines (John, David, and hell I'll throw Robert on there too, he's been in a fair amount of stinkers) also come to mind.
I'd argue Gary Busey is a great actor, or was once at least, but nowadays if you see his name it's a pretty good indicator you should skip the movie.
Anybody have any more?

Robert DeNiro
Most actors who came on the scene after 1960 have more bad movies than good imo. There are exceptions like Tom Cruise, Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Leonardo DiCaprio, but most actors aren't as picky or as lucky as they are.

Burt Reynolds, probably.

Oh, big time. Just about everything post-80's with some very rare exceptions, I'd say.

Uh, yeah. I can count his good movies on one hand. I don't even like most of his 1970s movies.

I do too, but I like very few. His only movies I like are Boogie Nights, Deliverance and The Longest Yard. There is probably a few more I am forgetting about and still many I haven't seen. Though looking at the ratings for his 1970s movies, most aren't generally considered to be good movies.

You seem to be asking more about bottom of the barrel awful movies than movies that just aren't good. Is that what you are asking for?

Probably not a movie I will like, but it is one of his few that are on my watchlist. I am being a bit biased, because I am just not a fan of Burt Reynolds as an actor.

I mean, bottom of the barrel bad is certainly more interesting to me when they actually manage to secure a good actor who's clearly slumming it. It's also sadder.

Off topic, but you ever see City Heat with Burt and Clint Eastwood? I have never wanted to like a movie that ended up sucking so badly in my life. It's Clint and Burt! It's a 30's noir throwback with gorgeous production design! It's got Rip Torn, Madeline Kahn and Richard Roundtree! I should love this movie! But it's terrible...

Low-hanging fruit Eric Roberts Mickey Rourke Yeah, those are both great examples of what I'm talking about. Roberts seems to turn literally nothing he's offered down, and in Rourke's defense he probably can't afford to pass too many offers up at this point...

Many of DeNiro's post-2000 movies are quite bad though. Not the kind of Direct-to-DVD movies that people like Eric Roberts star in, but bad and awful mainstream movies. That is almost worse imo. Dirty Grandpa is terrible. It is bottom of the barrel tasteless unfunny idiocy that just happened to have a major studio backing it.

Those Fockers movies got pretty awful the longer they went on, too...

Dennis Hopper
I love his work in Blue Velvet and Hoosiers, but finding re-watchable ones is a chore.
