SHORT CUTS of course. It was also more worthy of being labelled best picture over the smashed wreck of CRASH.

I haven't seen Short Cuts, but I have seen Crash, so Short Cuts by a mile!

Short Cuts for me. Crash is like an Altman rip-off as far as the structure is concerned. It's not as bad as some people claim (no oscar winner is immune to criticism). I liked Matt Dillon's performance and the whole point of the movie could easily revolve around his character without changing the message the movie conveys. Taking all this into account, I still prefer Short Cuts.

Short Cuts is one of my favorite Altmans (new word?). The cast is superb. The acting is superb (mostly). And everything about it is awesome. I know I'm not selling it well. hmmpphh..
