Remarkable debut film from Indian director Satyajit Ray. Beautiful film about the human condition, an ambassador to the universality of emotions and stresses as seen through a slice of life in an Indian village.
It's part 1 of a trilogy too, no less.
That's its plot according to IMDb. That's the sell, but it's so much more.
Highly recommended. Two thumbs up just isn't enough thumbs.

All three films are great but I think Aparajito is the best by a small margin.

All three films are great but I think Aparajito is the best by a small margin. I have it and the third one. I'm waiting so I can space them out, since I haven't watched a film since the first one. It's been two days and I still enjoy the faint hints of soundtrack in my head.
