How about you?
I think she's always made quirky and unusual movie choices. She's funny in person, if you get to see her in interviews. A lot of my favourite science-fiction, fantasy and horror directors over the years have said they're fans.
Thanks!

I only knew her from Gilligan's Island and then one day I caught SAPPHO--THE WARRIOR QUEEN I think it's called-- the 1960 peplum she did-and she comes into it on a chariot and I could see why she felt she was slumming with Gilligan--because she had done movie star roles. I saw one of those noir films she did--with Richard Widmark and a Matt Helm film.
NIGHTMARE IN BADHAM COUNTY --she's unrecognizable. A sadistic white trash prison guard--but she does such a good job. Very anti-Ginger in appearance and attitude. Took me a while to realize it was her. She was also in the tv sequel to Rosemary's Baby.
It was jarring she wasn't in the Gilligan's Island reunion movies. But she did appear on a talk show with all the castaways in 1988-1989. When I saw it--wow--there she is with the others.
And when Alan Hale Jr died she was the one Entertainment Tonight got comment from.

She used to be neighbours with Peter Fonda.

Tina Louise was Introduced in her first feature, next she was billed as co-star alongside Robert Ryan once again, in Day of the Outlaw (159) Dir. Andre DeToth Having taken acting lessons following her Griselda in Gods Little Acre, a wonderful debut in which her natural charms freely flowed, her performance here as Helen Crane seems labored, at times hilariously awful. Perhaps it was nerves , perhaps it was me , ? must be time for a 3rd reappraisal Tina Louise as Helen Crane

I never warmed to GODS LITTLE ACRE and GILLIGANS ISLAND I don't think surfaced in UK But of her early films this one is fun THE HAPPY ENDING was a good one but she didn't get much to do. I think of her first as Charmaine in the superb THE STEPFORD WIVES I remember NIGHTMARE IN BADHAM COUNTY - she should have teamed up with Stella Stevens for a movie! NB some sources (Halliwell and/or Quinlan I think) list her as debuting in KISMET 1955 - presumably in chorus... never spotted her though.

Tina Louise and Stella Stevens worked together on the all-star sorority house tv movie 'Friendships, Secrets And Lies' (1979) with 'Stepford' star Paula Prentiss.
More recently, they were seen together stepping out with Jon Voight.
