Just curious.
I am thinking about re-watching RoboCop 3 soon. I have only seen it once and not since I was a kid. I remember almost nothing about it.

RoboCop - 8/10 RoboCop 2 - 5.5/10 RoboCop 3 - 4.5/10 RoboCop (2014) - 5/10 Wow, RoboCop 3 has some terrible acting by normally talented actors. I am only 10 minutes into the movie, so maybe the acting gets better. Also interesting to note that the director made Night of the Creeps and The Monster Squad. What happened?

RoboCop - 9/10
RoboCop 2 - 6/10
RoboCop 3 - 4/10
RoboCop remake - 5/10
First one has aged as bad as it gets and it's going to hold up for the ages. Great movie.
There was a cracking Amiga game of RoboCop 3 that got me excited for it back in the day. It's a shame they pursued the more kid friendly tone, it might have been a lot better if it stayed true to its roots.

RoboCop (1987) - 9/10.
A grim and gritty sci-fi classic, even if the ultraviolence does go a bit overboard at times.
RoboCop 2 (1990) - 9/10.
Deeply underrated sequel that matches the tone and style of its predecessor and features an intimidating new foe.
RoboCop 3 (1993) - 2/10
Watered-down garbage that should never have been made for the most part.
RoboCop (2014) - 1/10.
Utterly devoid of purpose. A soulless cash-in.

Just finished RoboCop 3.
It is definitely bad, but often entertainingly so. Robert John Burke is legit good as RoboCop imo and Jill Hennessy (of Law & Order fame) is good too. The final act reaches a different level of bad and hilariously so.
RoboCop - 7/10 RoboCop (2014) - 6/10 RoboCop 2 - 6/10 RoboCop 3 - 4.5/10

Also re-watched the short lived canadian tv-movies RoboCop: Primce Directives, which was put out during the ealry 00s, and I believe got released on DVD, as 4 separate movies, and where none were all that "impressive". Still, some cheesy fun, even though they sure feels very cheap in production and sound/music, terrible and "updated" theme, that sounds like something out of an old western movie, or some ridiuclous Mexican soap-opera. Anyway, the first is surely the best and most fun, where as I am always let down by the sequel, it just never hit off with me, as much as I wanted it, where as nostalgia might have something to do with how I rate the third one, so high. I still have more fun, watching that one, rather than the second one. The remake, well, I have only see it once, and never thought it was as awful as many Robofans did, but if I had done a re-watch, I guess it might have most likely, fallen behind the second on, as my last "favorite" of the series.

The time it takes the villain to talk about being blown up he could have thrown the bomb out the window.

The special effects in ROBOCOP still look good to this day. How weird that a movie has that and, yet, is amateur in other aspects. I didn't know that a person could be clinically alive yet brain-dead despite being shot in the head, which is why I originally thought it was a mistake. You know what is a mistake? That OFFICER ALEX MURPHY doesn't scream of pain when he's shot the 1st time. There’s also a scene where the title character punches a guy through a window and we see the guy hitting the ground a little below the window... even though they’re supposed to be on a second floor. Ronny Cox and Kurtwood Smith's performances are good. Peter Weller is lucky to be playing a robot so he can’t be really judged as an actor. I mean, during the scenes where he’s still human, his performance is bad. 5/10 ROBOCOP PART 2 3/10 ROBOCOP PART 3 1/10 The 1st movie had a couple of scenes related to the title character's internal conflict of wanting to hold on to his human side, but script writers Edward Neumeier and Michael Miner never really went anywhere with that. The sequel spent a lot more time on it... only to forget about it half way through. The 2nd sequel didn’t even mention it! ROBOCOP 2014 is better than the previous 3 installments because it does develop that aspect. It also has a bunch of good performances, led by a solid turn by newcomer Joel Kinnaman. However, the action sequences are nothing special. I didn’t like the new suit design. No, not because it’s different and they can't mess with original. It’s because all black is dull. Luckily, if they make a sequel, they’ll use the silver one, because of the ending, which by the way I didn’t like. Modern viewers have seen enough movies to know that the title character wasn’t going to die after going against his program and being shot. That’s why the makers didn’t waste time teasing us that he was dead. However, that doesn’t mean that you can just transition to the next scene revealing that he’s alive without any type of surprise. And the final seconds with PAT NOVAK (the TV host)? Was that supposed to be a parody of the yankee pride? It felt like it was for real. I hope that foreign viewers won’t get angry. Probably not. The credits start rolling immediately, revealing that the director is named José Padilha. Since he's a foreigner... 6/10 ------------------------------------- You can read comments of other movies in my blog.

I assume him not screaming in pain when gets shot at first is that he was in shock and couldnt feel it. Also, they wanted to give Boddicker's ad lib center stage--"well give the man a hand" was an ad lib. If we hear Murphy screaming it would throw off that line.
Robocop 9/10 Robocop 2 5/10 Robocop 3--I cant remember it except I didn't like it
Robocop 4 I haven't seen.
I did watch the tv series--the best thing about it was the commercial for it--since it only showed his armor surface and they make you think it's a commercial for a car.
