I was so sad to hear of his passing. He was a wonderfully kind, caring person. Always polite, always with something good to say. I miss him a lot. R.I.P. dear Sulla.

That is both shocking and very saddening to hear. I don't know much about the guy but I liked seeing his posts every once in a while. I never saw him on the old IMDB boards being a newcomer to them at the time before they closed down, but he did seem like a nice guy and all. Hope he's resting easy. R.I.P. Sulla

I hope he didn't have to suffer too much and passed away peacefully.

Damn it. I didn’t know Sulla all that well, but we interacted a few times, he was always the gentleman, and of course I loved his avatar. So, so sad. May he rest in peace.

I loved Sulla, too, he and I had a special connection, we were both fans of "Northern Exposure" and PM'd about it quite a bit. He said once that when he died, he hoped he would end up in Cicely, Alaska. I hope his wish came true. I miss him terribly. He was always the gentleman, and a kind soul. May he rest in peace. I will play Mozart's Requiem Mass in his honor, on my iPod. We also shared a love of classical music. To add to, just a bit... One of Sulla's and my favorite episodes was "Rosebud", when Ed is puzzling over his decision to be a film maker, and as he watches the Orson Welles movie, his friend Leonard, the shaman, who has been trying to discover 'white man's healing stories', realizes that the movies are white man's healing stories. I thought that to be a fine tribute for an internet movie database, how we all did discuss the movies and what they meant to us. I actually made a list of my 'healing story' movies. There were quite a few. Marv , I thought this might be something you might or might not have known about Sulla. I know you two went way back.

I like the idea of utilizing movies and other stories as a means of therapy. Hell anything that calms you down and makes you smile should count as therapy. I never did see Northern Exposure...nor Tree of Life, which was one of Sullas faves. Maybe ill try and seek them out this weekend. Also, i wanted to post this on the op...i even saved it on my phone a few days prior to posting, but had forgotten when the time came. A few years ago we lost another poster Cash aka theoncomingstorm...and Sulla responded with a quote from Lonesome Dove, which both Sulla and Cash both loved (myself too for what its worth)... "We are all travelers in this world. From the sweet grass to the packing house, birth till death, we travel between the eternities."

Sulla was one of my favorite on the boards, he was always full of information and looking out for others, he's the one that came up with my username when he found out I was using my real name online. We always talked about me visiting him in the US but it never panned out. I was so sorry to hear of his passing. He also loved my writings lol Boy I miss him

I was not aware of his passing. Damn, that's sad. I may not have known him as well as some of you here, but I do believe we had a few pleasant interactions at some point and he seemed like a nice guy. Loved that avatar! R.I.P. Sulla
