It's Gold Cup quarterfinal time. First up Costa Rica vs Canada. This is coming up on Fox Sports 1 at 4 PM Pacific Time.
Then, at 6:30 PM Pacific time it's USA vs Jamacia also on Fox Sports 1.
Any takers, anyone interested?

It's being played at Jerry's place, AT&T Stadium (Arlington, Texas), home of the Dallas Cowboys. They will probably have a lot of people there, they don't care much for safety measures in Texas.

What were the scores of the other quarterfinal matches you ask? They were... Qatar 3 - 2 El Salvador Mexico 3 - 0 Honduras Yes, Qatar is in the Gold Cup. Why? I have no idea. Ask someone else. After today, both semifinals are played on Thursday and then the final comes next Sunday. |

18 minutes in and Junior Hoilett gets a terrific pass from way back from I don't know who, the keeper stays on his line too long and decides late to make a run at him and Hoilett tips the ball up in the air over the keeper for the Canadian score.

The 'Asian Football Confederation' and the 'Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football' two-sied up a couple of years ago in some kind of partnership to further global football but really to try to get a grip on the ladder themselves, I think. And good luck to them.
I definitely want to watch the 2.30am USA game.

Second half has been all Canada. They ping pong the ball around the Costa Rican box and a defender tries to clear it, instead, he puts it right in the path of Eustaquio for Canada who has an easy shot into the net.

For their troubles Canada plays Mexico on Thursday in a semifinal. And, they'll have to do it without Cavallini and Vitoria because they got their second yellow cards of the tournament today and will be out for the match.
USA vs Jamacia up next, I'll change the title to the thread.

I know Brazil played as a guest once, going all the way to the final and losing to Mexico. And teams from outside South America have taken part in the Copa America many times. Qatar did in the 2019, I think. They must have gotten themselves invited in order to get some competitive match experience for next year's World Cup. |

Cory Burke of The Reggae Boys pulls a fast one on '11. He feigns an injury, the medics take him off for treatment but the only treatment he wants is a change of boots, throwing the first ones aside and re-fitting his feet with a new pair before running back on the pitch. Cheeky.
Let's see if his new footwear has an effect in this fast opening portion.

It's been a careering, reckless and fast first half. The crowd is enjoying it, but it could go either way at this stage, Doc.

Jamaica keeper Blake has broken his head in added time. He came up for the corner and went in on it colliding with Robinson's head. Robinson is up but Blake has blood and is bandaged.
Just a few minutes now for Jamaica to answer Hoppe's goal for USA ten minutes ago.

It was left for Roldan to put a cross in that looked like was set up perfectly for Zardes, but nooooooo, it went right over his head on to the head of Hoppe who netted it. It was all that was needed. USA 1 - 0 Jamacia Jamacia controlled things in the first half, the US did much better in the second. Neither team really owned things.
