What is with QBs and Indianapolis? They just keep giving them the shaft. First Andrew Luck retires after the draft and free agency, then former high school QB Josh McDaniels backs out of the job after all the good coaches were hired, and now Wentzy changes his mind and decides to get surgery in August that could take 3 months to recover from, to say nothing of getting football-ready.
Karma's a bitch.

This is honestly the best case scenario for the Colts. We get to see what Eason looks like in competitive games (few things in football more important than your backup QB) while Carson heals up and prepares to unleash his best self in October.
Colts are helping Wentzy with a problem he’s been struggling with for years. Coming to Indy is the best thing that’s happened to him in his career.

I know the Colts came in with a good team, but they likely weren't going to win more than 2 or 3 of the first 5 anyway. All their opponents had records of 10-6, 11-5, or 12;4. |
