Who speaks of Lincecum as a HOFer? Honestly, I got back into card collecting during the pandemic and I basically have a couple things I collect and one of them is Hall of Fame auto'd cards. If you go on Ebay, the Lincecum cards are the same price if not more than many Hall of Famers. On reddit for exmaple, they treat Lincecum like he's a future HOFer. I've never seen anything like it. On the Giants radio broadcasts adn talk shows, they think he should be in the Hall. A guy who had 4 good seasons. Honestly, his second Cy I was shocked. I thought he would come in 3rd or 4th that year, I remember hearing he won it, I couldn't believe it. No one treats Johan Santana like this yet he won 2 cy Youngs and had a way better career than Lincecum.

Who speaks of Lincecum as a HOFer? No one. But he sure looked like a first ballot HOFer for a while. I never heard a plausible explanation as to why his velocity fell off the face of he Earth. Yeah, he was as thin as a promise but he never had a serious injury.
2 years after he won his second Cy Young he did messed with his mechanics. I remember it lilke it was yesterday. They were talking in spring training about it. Why is Tim changing his delivery and mechanics. His dad, who was his personal coach, thought he should change. And that was teh beginning of hte end. If the guy would have just stayed the course, he might have put together a HOF career.

Guess I have to go with Mike Mussina. Fortunate to always pitch on winning teams. How would his numbers look if he was in Pittsburgh? Same with Whitey Ford. Hell, I could have won 200 games pitching for those Yankees teams. Okay, I couldn’t have. But Junkballer Ford wouldn’t have come within 100 miles of Cooperstown pitching anywhere else Honestly, that's another one I was shocked when he made the hall. His ERA was I believe the highest at the time for a starter until Morris got in. He had one 20 win season, never won any award and was just a compiler. I never thought of him as a HOFer during his playing days. I believe that one opened the door for a lot of guys.
