They have a point this time. I have only seen Friday the 13: Part V of the movies they review here, but I don't think any of these 4 specific sequels have much of a fanbase.

"Didn't everyone in that scene look 10 years too old to be in high school?"
"They are all repeating the 12th grade for the 10th time."

Man they really hated the Police Academy movies, that reminds of something Homer Simpson said to Bart: "We live in a society of law! What do you think I took you to all those Police Academy movies for? For fun? Well I didn't hear anybody laughing!"

I didn't even bother finishing Part 2. I had enough after 20 minutes.

The fifth Police Academy (the one in Miami) is goofy fun.

I never go by what "critics" have to say.
Out of all the Police Academy sequels, only 5th and 7th are bad. 2, 3 and 4 are enjoyable and 6 (which by the way has a similar plot as The Dark Knight Rises lol) is just passable. Not having Steve Guttenberg after number 4 really hurt the sequels. He carried this franchise.

For once I agree with Moldy and Scabby further down the thread that Guttenberg was the MVP of the franchise. It was okay fun as a young child growing up but growing out of the Police Academy movies is too easy.

The Ringer's Big Picture podcast is currently in the midst of an 8(?) part series about Siskel & Ebert.

Here's the thing about what he said about friday the 13th part v. I don't need some 40 year old white dude to tell me why he didn't like friday the 13th part v. It wasn't made for him.
