Ferris Bueller is probably one of the most dislikable characters in film history
Fact!

Agreed, he was a smug insufferable twat that manipulated his friend. The movie should have have been about Cameron, it would have been much better.

Ferris and Rooney are both villains but it doesn’t mean the film isn’t entertaining.

I have a Ferris to my Cameron and I'm constantly asking myself why I still hang out with him.
But yeah, Ferris is a douche.

Cameron was far more likable.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off 3/10. You pretty much said it all. And it's all that's worth saying about a dull movie about a dull person.

I won't call it great and/or a masterpiece, but I like it.

If you somehow combined the plots of Ferris and Wargames you might just have something there….

I never liked it, but then again Matthew Broderick has always really rubbed me the wrong way, so that's probably a big reason why.
Had Michael J. Fox or someone played Bueller, I probably would have enjoyed the movie more.

I like it, captures a certain attitude from the time period that sadly not everyone got to experience.

"Not to mention he gives good kids bad ideas"
Well I hope Broderick doesn't give them the idea of driving on the wrong side of the road. Especially in a place like Ireland.

It's one of my favourites from Hughes. I don't even care if Ferris is annoying when watching it years later, it's still very funny. I think I side with Cameron though.
