I watched the Astros pregame and beginning of the Astros-Dodgers game from Tuesday. They showed only Astros fans, didn't mention cheatergate, and started the game with the first pitch already being delivered to Altuve. The first time they alluded to it was when Brantley was up. "Lively crowds, as you can imagine."

I'm incredibly amped up  Final game of the Gnats series tonight - Then - It's like the Cowboys rolling in here in 1st Place and we're in 2nd. It's like the Celtics rolling in here in 1st Place and we're in 2nd. It's like either of the Penguins/Rangers rolling in here in 1st Place and we're in 2nd. Fri., Sat., Sun - the 1st Place Mutts come into our house - and by the end of the weekend - we will be sitting in 1st Place |

Spencer Howard's 1st Game with the Rangers - 2.1 IP giving up 3 runs and homer  Sorry - not to be negative on Scott Howard but Teen Wolf threw the Phils under the bus after the trade - he can't last more than a couple of innings - throw him in the pen
ERA is 6.61 on the season - gave up 2 walks too
Obviously 1 start doesn't mean jack - but another move our Phickle Phans crapped over - maybe sometimes managers/coaches/upper management/owners actually know what they're doing, eh?

I think the Braves or Phillies have a good shot at winning the NL East now - all of the injuries have caught up with the Mets and they are starting to fall apart, I mean my Fishies have an awful lineup and the Mets still lost 3 of 4 to them. Should be a fun race now.

I think the Braves or Phillies have a good shot at winning the NL East now - all of the injuries have caught up with the Mets and they are starting to fall apart, I mean my Fishies have an awful lineup and the Mets still lost 3 of 4 to them. Should be a fun race now. Yup, although I think the Phillies have a better shot than the Braves just because of health. Good job Phillies, you're the least terrible because you managed to not get injured.

I think the Braves have the better offense though, they’ve got good sluggers, if Acuna was healthy they would be hands down my pick to win the division. They were my pick going into the year, and agreed if Acuna were still there I'd probably have them a tick above. Losing and Osuna is devastating, even though Freeman and Albies are both having typically solid years and Dansby Swanson and Austin Riley are both putting up quality numbers. Both teams have AWFUL bullpens, I mean unwatchably bad and the Phillies have the added bonus of being the worst defensive team in the game, by a fairly wide margin. If I had to pick between the two, I'd want the Braves to win over the Phillies for a host of reasons. You know what, fuck it, if the Mets continue to tailspin, I'm pulling for Atlanta. I just, I dunno, I have a feeling that the Phillies will pull it out. I believe (but not positive) they have the easiest schedule of any NL team the rest of the way, going by opponent win %. After this home stretch against the Mets, Dodgers and Reds, they have 7 games against the Diamondbacks, 3 against the Marlins, 3 against the Rockies, 3 against the AAAA team calling themselves the Chicago Cubs, 3 against the Orioles and 4 against the Pirates. There are other series against Atlanta, the Mets and the Padres, but those are 23 winnable games and they should be able to snag 15 of them. If they go .500 against the balance of their opponents, they should capture the division. The series against Atlanta on the last weekend of the season is setting up to be very interesting though.
