I kind of like wall climbing though, which was added this go around.
Although the 2020 Olympics were forced to postpone until 2021, the global athletic event will soon add a new sport to its lineup: break dancing.
BBC Sports reports that break dancing, otherwise known as “breaking,” will be included in the Paris 2024 games. Other fringe sports with roots in cities such as skateboarding, 3v3 basketball and freestyle BMX will be included in the program as well.
Sport climbing and surfing are also going to join more established sports as Olympic events.
"It's going to be great for breaking as it gives us more recognition as a sport," Karam Singh, a British breakdancer, told BBC Sport. “And for the Olympics, it will attract young people who may not follow some of the traditional sports."
Breaking, break dancing or b-boying was developed in the 1970s in New York City boroughs, especially the Bronx. Since its inception, it has grown into a mainstream form of dance and artistic expression, commonly featured in films and other multimedia.
