from a fast food chain, which would you choose?
Apparently, in the restaurant industry, Chipotle is considered a fast casual restaurant, meaning that it offers up a mashup of the convenience of a fast food chain and the quality and atmosphere of a casual, sit-down restaurant. Also higher priced. Otherwise I would choose it.
Maybe Wendy's? Starbucks food? Honestly, I don't know what they have, or whether things like Panera count.

Closest is 78 miles away in San Antonio. that's too bad, nj  they have great salads, sides and traditional Mexican foods. And their main emphasis is chicken. I could eat healthy if I wanted. Next time you come to California, you should try it. BTW bring your mask. We are smoky.

El pollo loco divtal are you familiar with them? they have healthy options and traditional Mexican food. very good! I've heard of El Pollo Loco, but never been to one. I checked locations, and I'll try it. I get to Napa and Petaluma fairly often. Sizzler doesn't have nearly as many locations as they did about 10 years ago. But, I could find a variety from them, that would work for 3 weeks. They're buffet-style, and have salad/soup selections, along with veggies, meats, fish. There's also the Bear Diner chain. I don't know what territory they cover. They're a little like Denny's, in that they have a variety on their menu, and they're sit-down. The Bear Diner also caters to those who don't want gigantic portions for one meal.

In our area if it had to be fast food, I'd pick Hardees. Lots of breakfast options and a variety of sandwiches to pick from...ham chicken, beef and burgers. I like their onion rings and fries too. They just need a salad. I'd get tired of it in three weeks though.
We have a Black Bear Diner here, but I've never eaten there. I don't consider it fast food though.

Used to eat at Sizzlers often in CA. Wasn't fast food then, but I haven't seen one in ages. Maybe they changed?
I just remember steaks, baked potatoes, etc

Subway, Carl's Jr., or Jack in the Box.
If it was a one-off it easily would be Carl's Jr., but over a three-week period I'd probably want Subway's somewhat healthier menu options.

Firehouse Subs (one is opening near us on Nov. 1), the one in Albuquerque always put a lot of meat on their sandwiches, the salads were good and their baked potato soup was delicious. I haven't eaten at a Firehouse sub since we left Albuquerque, I hope they retaine the same quality.

If stuff like Sheetz count as fast food I’d go with that, simply for variety.
But if we’re talking main fast food chains. Probably Taco Bell. My stomach will hate me regardless but at least I’d enjoy the taste for a few days.

Subway. So many different subs to choose from. Oven Roasted Turkey Italian B.M.T. Steak & Cheese All-American Club Black Forest Ham Chicken & Bacon Ranch Cold Cut Combo Buffalo Chicken Meatball Marinara Spicy Italian Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki Tuna Veggie Delite Wraps With all these different kinds of bread to choose from.  Not to mention Salads. |

I just remember steaks, baked potatoes, etc Sizzler is still around but there aren’t many. they’re primarily in Washington, California, Arizona, New Mexico, Idaho, Utah, Puerto Rico, and Oregon the apartment I last had in Washington state before moving to Pennsylvania, there was one down the street from me. I ate at the one in West Covina, California (my original hometown) in 2019 when i went back out there.
