Keep in mind that Homicidal itself is a rip-off of Psycho. It was piggybacking of the Psycho's success, being released the following year. Oh. It's like Psycho introduced the idea of a male killer resembling a woman and other movies took this concept and went all out with it huh? Homicidal certainly did. I actually think the backstory in Homicidal is more interesting. Everything that leads up to the twist is less interesting though. Psycho is one of the most influential movies in history. Dressed to Kill is probably the most famous rip-off, though I'd call Dressed to Kill a homage more than a rip-off.

Still haven't seen that one.

Hollywood keep remaking every 80s horror film, surprised they haven't got around to that one. Because it's an unremarkable film that didn't and wouldn't add anything new to the genre. The only redeeming feature was the final twist - not what it was, but how it was filmed...creepy AF - and it's not really worth remaking just to deliver that one moment, and probably, less effectively.
