Have you received a "booster" vaccine, or 3rd shot? Or if you received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, did you get a 2nd shot, and if so, did you get another Johnson & Johnson shot or a mRNA shot and mix it up? Do you have plans to get a booster shot? I'm hearing mixed info about doing this, but I am considering doing this. Oddly, my doctor and his nurse are giving me mixed messages.

No, I have not. I listen to my doctor, he is paid well for his expertise. When he tells me to get a booster, I will get one.

No, I am not considered to be severely immunocompromised.

I wouldn't take it upon myself to get a "3rd shot. If a "booster" is generally recommended, I'll take that.
My HMO is Kaiser-Permanente, and they have my medical records going back to when I was young, and my parents signed the family up with them. They're very prevention oriented, in health maintenance. And, they've turned patient-nagging into an art form, when it comes to screenings and vaccines. I'll hear from my physician/representative with advice on any necessary follow up on the initial vaccine.

Only if it means I can take my mask off again.

No I have NOT received a third/booster shot yet... Because it has not been approved for the General Population at this time, it's only for the severely immunocompromised.
Even if a third/booster shot were approved for the General Population, many are suggesting that it may not be recommend to get it at first...
Many people in other countries, have yet to get even their first shot, because the vaccines are not yet available, or not enough is available for them to do so... Saving those doses for THEM, might be more beneficial to ending the pandemic for everyone on the planet, instead of just a few of us...
I do plan to get a third/booster shot... When it becomes widely recommended for the majority of us to get it.

If one is offered I’ll take it. There are a few vulnerable people in my life and I’d hate to the one who kills them.

I have the Johnson & Johnson 1-dose. When the boosters become available for everyone, I will get it.

No, I have not. I listen to my doctor, he is paid well for his expertise. When he tells me to get a booster, I will get one. Not so well that they don't need kickbacks from pharmaceutical companies, apparently.

My doc doesn't do covid shots, but I hear you. Too many people I know get opioid scripts like their doc is passing out Dum Dums, but getting any prescription out of my doctor is like pulling hen's teeth. Maybe don't go to the free clinic if you can help it.

I just had two shots of Pfizer. Maybe I need the third one because I've been coughing my soul out the past couple of days.

Not sure about the people "you know," a friend's mother passed away from metastatic cancer and her doctor wouldn't prescribe narcotic pain pills for fear she'd "get addicted." All of her sons work for Big Pharma and would go and get THC gummies for her since her own doctors wouldn't prescribe narcotic pain pills. She passed away in her 80's last year. So really, not sure about the folks you know who are getting opioids like Dum Dums.

According to the CDC, there were 153,260,450 opioid prescriptions in 2019, as you know, opioids are extremely addictive, how does that play out? The customer gets addicted is how it plays out. Prescription opioids are a problem in the USA, no question. We already played this game with Valium and nicotine, let's be people who can learn from the past.

I'm double dosed, AZ & Moderna cocktail. I'll take a 3rd shot/booster probably this winter zero hesitation. Most of us will likely get COVID one day, I don't plan on letting it kill me when it does.

Have you received a "booster" vaccine, or 3rd shot? When it becomes available I will. I did not have ANY side effects from the first two shots. And I like staying healthy and not spreading illness.

I have not. I have had both doses of the Pfizer vaccine and have not experienced any side effects. When the "booster shot" becomes available, I'll take it for extra precautions.

Apparently the original timetable still holds, 6 to 8 months after your second dose.
Since J&J was one dose only, they're saying a second dose or booster, not sure if they're the same or different, offers nearly 100% protection.
But I heard quite a bit about breakthrough infections in the last few weeks, where fully vaccinated people can still get Covid and pass it on to others.

Not currently in age range or risk category for whom third booster shots are being considered. Waiting for official approval.
