Just got a copy on the cheap. Haven't seen it yet.....but Blade's movie night up soon. Would love your opinions, fellow IMDbeastie boys.
How does it compare to the cinema release? Did you enjoy it at all? 0r the original.
To be perfectly honest , I don't recall much about the first release, apart from Aquaman in a pub, Ben Affleck as Bats, a grumpy Supes....and the striking Miss Gadot of course. Personally, I don't think owt Zack''s done has matched Watchmen yet.
Tell me all.

It is quite a big improvement over the boring mess that is the theatrical version, but still not a particularly good movie. It is much more tonally consistent, has more character development, improves on the villains and improves on the overall story-telling. Still has way too much obvious and ugly cgi, still has to deal with annoying and dull versions of Flash and Aquaman and the villains still aren't very interesting.
Theatrical Version - 4.5/10
Director's Cut - 6/10

A-
I like to think of it as a standalone picture, the DCEU baggage is a total mess for me. That aspect is fine for me actually, considering comic books themselves are all but infinite storytellings.

I think it's best of the Zack Snyder's DC trilogy.
