tpfkar It's easy to understand why some are frantic to believe there's something better than what they've lived. If I thought that were the case, I might be out robbing and looting and having a hell of a good time right now.

I suppose so to some extent. Difficult to say though. I prefer the title agnostic to atheist. You can be an agnostic atheist. The two terms aren't mutually exclusive. Technically, everyone's an agnostic, if people were truly honest with themselves. Right. Well, I am not an atheist. I love the term agnostic. It is complicated and intriguing. Nothing' for certain and is beyond our comprehension. Heart knows, brain cannot register it.

But so far, no evidence for deity has turned up, and I believe that this absence of evidence is evidence of absence. Which does not mean that I consider it impossible for deities to exist. Therefore, I'm a non-agnostic weak atheist.

I suppose you can give yourself any label you want, but it may cause confusion when you discuss your stance with others. To clarify...if you do not "consider it impossible for deities to exist"....do you consider it possible for deities to exist (however slim the chance may be)? If so, then you don't know if a god does or does not exist. If you don't know if a god exists/doesn't exist...then you're an agnostic. In addition, if you don't believe in god/gods (based on lack of evidence)...you're an atheist. Hence, agnostic atheist.

Still nothing. Can you prove that you believe there's still nothing?
