2 wins for Tottenham,1 for Man City and 1 draw in their last 4 league meetings. And we can't forget April 2019 when Tottenham came out top over two Champions League quarter-final meetings. Sterling and the rest of them thought they had secured passage with an injury time goal for 5-3 after a 1-0 win for Tottenham in the first leg. You can never forget the sight of Guardiola leaping up and down the touchline punching the air when Sterling potted - only for his face to drop when he realized VAR was on the case. An offside in the build-up (Aguero, was it?) null and voided the goal leaving Guardiola to face another minute of agony. While Pochettino celebrated, Guardiola ducked down the tunnel without even being able to congratulate his contemporary, such was the celebrations of the Spurs contingent, wrapped up in their own joy, no chance for Guardiola to find a way through the North London bodies. The question is will Kane play today? One training session since the Euros, a desire to leave the club and the first game of the season against Man City. Tottenham 19/4 Man City 6/10 Draw 3/1

Of course come on you Spurs!! Kambei was the only City fan ever to be on here or over at the old place. Glad he's not annoying us.

How much do you think City will have to pay for Harry Kane? After paying $139 million for Grealish I can't even fathom the amount.

Well, after 25 minutes Man City has had the lion's share of things, although Sterling has been nicely silenced by Tanganga who is properly up for the game, showing no mercy in the tackling/shoving department. Spurs beginning to settle in now.

The ref Taylor pulls up play and has a word with Tottenham's captain Lloris about Tanganga's less than subtle tackling. There's been a fair bit niggly challenges but this is you want, a full-blooded encounter. No shots on target but Son goes just wide from 18 yards with a drive five minutes before the break.

It's half time in this oversized boiling bubbling cauldron of a stadium. Tottenham look worth a shout now, asserting themselves from the halfway point in the half.

Simon Burnton reports -
No.
Not so lacklustre now, though.
It's 0-0 at the half and that's a fair scoreline. Don't even mention the dreaded phrase 'S***s it up'.

Wow. Everything is now officially upside down.
Son scores for Spurs and take the lead.

GOAL
Lucas breaks away through the midfield. He has space to find Son out on the left of the area. Son outwits Ake on the corner of the box and unleashes a rifling low drive which beats Ederson on '55.

It's all over. Son's scorcher seals the points for Tottenham in a rip-roaring game. Man of the Match Taganga snuffed out Sterling (subbed off) and Grealish (faded into obscurity after 25 minutes) " Are you watching, are you watching, are you watching, Harry Kane? " chanted the Tottenham fans late on, and well they might. One-nothing Spurs.

That's two losses in a row to start the season for City, isn't it? They also lost in the Community Shield.
Could be an interesting year.
