Ok need advice. I've been grabbing eaglemoss model/diecast. Grabbing Federation first. I made the mistake of getting larger xl model for first NCC1701. NCC1701b is otw, but should I get the xl ds9 model (around 8") or normal (around 4"). I have more display area to put those 2 and the other alien ships.  Autographed Freddie Freeman ball for scale. So 4" or "8? |

IMO, you can easily justify the larger size of NCC-1701 model because that's the ship that started it all. But adding any other xl model ships to the collection would photon torpedo that justification. P.S. With your interest in Star Trek, I think you would enjoy the IMDB v2.1 Movie Quotes board, where we have "trekked" nearly 450 movie titles to date. |

When I first read your post I thought you were asking about another DS9 ship, like the Defiant (which I see second from the right). In that case, the xl model makes sense to me.

Thanks for the clarification. I really don't buy Trek collectibles unless you count DVDs. And seeing the cost involved, I don't feel comfortable advising you to buy one or the other. I'm afraid you'll have to have to make your own decision.

Ncc 1701 B finally came in. Actually it came in about 1 week ago but the necell was broken so new one came in today. The 10" Ds9 should be here Tuesday. I have started to design the display case.  Since I am going to have 10" federation ships/base. I will get 2 10" alien ships once I start probably TOS klingon cruiser and 10" tng romulan warbird. |

I wanted to kind match up having an old school xl for the alien and one the tng era I wanted the tng xl representative to be a borg cube but they only have battle/tactical cube in xl but really only 3.5" cubed. So going for romulan war bird.

I just know that model is awesome The two classes are close enough to each other in design that Ex Astris Scientia shows the D7 and the K't'inga on the same starship gallery.
