With 3 different cuts, which is best?
The original?
The grittier scaled down Argento cut?
Or the extended cut with more dialogue?

I prefer theatrical because it has both the Goblin soundtrack and the Pittsburgh library stock music cues. Just one or the other doesn't work for me. The quiet spots feel like dead air.

Extended Cut. It's the first cut I ever saw. I used to watch my old 2-tape VHS edition twice a month.
It's still my favorite cut. Then theatrical, then Argento cut.

The extended Cannes cut always used to be my go-to, but now its the theatrical. I do really love that extended montage of them isolated from eachother in the mall, but the pacing of the theatrical cut can't be beat. Dawn of the Dead is the sprawling epic of zombie movies, watching it you feel like you're seeing this massive 3 hour epic but it's condensed to about 2 hours and it flies by likes its 80 minutes.
