To be fair that already happened in Infinity War when Starlord fucked up Thanos's capture over a green bitch. And I agree with Power Ranger that Peter Parker fucking up the multiverse accidentally (coincidentally again over a girl) is peak Starlord. And a making of his own problems. Will that stop me watching this sequel? No. |

One theory now is that Strange performed an irresponsible spell because he's actually Mephisto in disguise, and this would borrow heavily from a Spider-Man comic story 'One More Day'
(this video is about the whole trailer, not just the Mephisto theory)
This guy does a lot of great easter egg/breakdown videos for MCU stuff.

Is Dr Strange the worst Sorcerer Supreme ever? Does he seriously protect his friends from bad choices? Does he seriously jeopardise existence like that? Is this a terrible premise for what was already a ridiculous plot?

I don’t think we needed a damn multiverse to begin with. Nor do we need Parker in these Stark suits. Just give us a SpiderMan film. Looking at the trailer it does not feel like a SpiderMan film. I don’t know why they go down this route when we already have enough villains already established. Mac Gargan is already there. Great, you’ve got Scorpion. Make a Spidey movie where Spidey takes on Scorpion and Vulture or something, not screw around with that idiot Strange and multiverses.

Did anyone else notice that this teaser essentially confirms the non-essential nature of the DisneyFlix shows? This multiverse mishap clearly has its own inciting incident separate from the end of Loki.
I always knew Feige would be wise enough to do it this way. If the tv shows were required viewing than the masses who only want to watch Spider-Man and the other big movies would be lost. So many predicted that WandaVision and Loki would be essential to this movie. Thankfully they were wrong.
