The two universes, Marvel (Spiderman, Avengers) and DC (Batman, Superman), are separate so the following depicted events never happened in reality. But what would happen if they shared the same continuity?

In a fight the Avengers don’t stand a chance. I take that back…they have a small chance if someone like Doctor Strange or Scarlett Witch is with them. But outside of a select few the Justice League is head to toe so much more powerful.

But outside of a select few the Justice League is head to toe so much more powerful. I agree with that but neither the JLA or the Avengers comprise the totality of super-beings in their respective universes. The MCU has ridulously underpowered heroes and quasi-omnipotent villains who are somehow defeated. The members of the Fantastic Four have completely shit powers and that also applies to the X-Men and Avengers (less maybe Doctor Strange or Scarlett Witch). But the MCU villains are infinitely more powerful than the Marvel super-heroes (and also DCU heroes in my estimation), yet are somehow held at bay. Consider, there's the Elders of the Universe, Galactus, Eternals, Celestials, Time Twisters, Sise Neg, to name a few. Then there are the really powerful MCU villains* like Eternity, Death, Living Tribunal and the Beyonder. Somehow, the Marvel writers always fgure a way to have the good guys prevail. So in a JLA/Avengers conflict the outcome is uncertain. Let's not forget Dark Phoenix who destroyed an entire Marvel parallel universe. * Yes, the term villains is inappropriate for such entities but that's the best I can do. galactus monitor Drs. Fate&Strange Dr. Fate&Scarlet Witch JLA&Dark Phoenix

Put some money on the table. Why would the heroes of the Justice League fight against the hero X-Men and/or Avengers? Some possibilities: 1. Cerebro, the super-computer of the X-Men awakes into consciousness and decides to exterminate all life in the DCU, just like it did in that one X-Men movie. The JLA gets assigned by the Guardians of the Universe to cross over into MCU only to be hampered by the X-Men. 2. A crazed Superman (Red K) gets possession of the Ultimate Nullifier. 3. Plenty of other events.

Tony Stark uses Pym Particles to time machine back to 1995 and sells teen Superman on Iron Man suit where Tony can monitor and control him.

Besides, it already happened: This rule also means after they fight, they must become friends and work together to defeat the villain. Just like Thor and Iron Man. This is no time in present state of our universe for our heroes, no matter, regardless of race, color, creed, superpower, human, inhuman, meta human, X-men, Bat Men, Spidermen, ants, shapeshifters, heavy lifters, petty grifters, witches, magicians, sorcerers, wizards, and warlocks. You must remember one thing, the folks back home is a countin' on us, and by golly we ain't about to let 'em down.
Now, let's get this thing on the hump. We got some aliens to kill!

I bet someday within the next 50 years these two properties will be owned by the same corporation and they will be rebooted together. If they were somewhat independent like they used to be, I might agree. But now that they are both owned by large corporations I don't think either will see any benefit in selling their IP to the other. There's no gain. If any one corporation owned both IP's it would be a monopoly of superhero comics and movies unlike anything ever seen. NO ONE else would be able to break through. From the stand point of the comics and movie markets it would actually NOT be a good thing. Any market always thrives on competition, not monopoly. But from the stand point of the us as fans, it would be awesome! I would love to see in continuity stories sharing both universes characters teaming up! All the ones they've done in the past have been "what if/elseworlds" type of stories, not in true continuity.
