When was the last time you visited a museum?
For me it was 2 hours ago.

Catman does not recall. It was either the Heard Museum in Phoenix or the Michigan Library and Historical Center in Lansing, both many, many years ago.

Maybe the late ‘80s to see the Egyptian mummies. I remember at the gift shop buying a small scarab ornament dating from ancient Egypt from many millennia past. Made in China.

Back in summer of 2017, I visited the ABBA museum in Stockholm with my mum. Before that, I guess the Viking Ship museum at Bygdøy in Oslo, but that was most likely back in 1997-98, with my school class. So not much of a museum goer.
Oh, I almost forgot about the visit to the Whale museum in Sandefjord, also in 2017, but in spring time. That place had a certain nasty smell of death or something, surrounding the whole area.

Late 90s maybe? It was a school trip to the Met in New York.

Two days ago. "The Last Supper at Pompeii," has been on tour at a local museum. It closes tomorrow (Sunday).
Complications with Covid precautions, and other considerations, almost made me miss it.

I went to the 6th Floor Museum (the place Oswald shot JFK) in Dallas a couple of weeks ago.

I went to Quebec City (about a three-hour drive for me) three weekends ago to catch the Picasso exhibition at the Musée National de Beaux Arts there.
I always keep an eye on the special exhibitions at that museum in Quebec City and at the National Gallery in Ottawa. Whenever there is something interesting, I will make the trip just for that.

About three years ago at three art museums clustered in Charlotte: the Mint, Bechtler, and Harvey B Gnatt Museums. The Firebird aka Disco Chicken at the Bechtler.

The last time I went to a museum was in the before times, a few months BC (before Covid). I went to the Forbidden City in Beijing.

Hi Jep, was that his Blue Period? Picasso's Blue Period is coming to Toronto in October. No, it was centered around the theme of figures, not a specific time period. I hope I get a chance to go to Toronto while this exhibition is going on. Toronto is a bit too far for me to go exclusively for a museum exhibition, like I do for Ottawa and Quebec City.

Because of health issues it has been YEARS.
I love museums. My idea of a vacation is going to historical sites and visiting museums.
