I feel he has talent but sort of has gotten stuck somewhat as being typecast within similar roles as well.

You're not totally wrong, QT definitely carved out Waltz's niche in Hollywood, but he excels at it. I've never been bored by a Christophe Waltz performance.

Tarantino seems to know how to use him but he has been mediocre or awful in most other roles I’ve seen him in.
He seems like a nice guy so I’m always willing to give him a chance, but I am still waiting for an impressive performance in somebody else’s film.

I feel like his performance within recently Gilliams Zero Theorem possibly hints at more talent perhaps, his jittery, nerve wracked, awestruck performance feels unlike anything which up to now he's done.

I think he’s very talented. Even if the movie is mediocre, he’s usually either good or great.

I've only seen him in the Tarantino movies, and I thought he was excellent in both.

Very. But can be misused like his awful role in Spectre.
Lets just say his sole purpose of being born into this world was to be found by Quintin Tarintino to play a character in his movie.

I'd say, very. He attended Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna, Austria with its illustrious history in film and theatre. I especially like his work with Quentin Tarantino. Also, in 'Carnage' (2011) and 'Big Eyes' (2014). Looking forward to seeing 'The French Despatch' (2021).

Very. You don't win two Oscars if you cant act. i mean thats sort of an open statement, oscars are also a matter of time and place, how the season shapes out, who gets lucky, who lands the right role etc.

I’ve only seen him in QTs films and Spectre. I loved him in IB and DU but Spectre was a waste. I don’t think it was his fault. Bad script.
