Usually a good league for goals, the Allsvenskan, with teams potting reliably week in week out and a nil in the result not too common. But this evening's game between Gothenburg and AIK (6pm) has been postponed after at least one unnamed player was allegedly offered cash to contribute to his team losing. What a shocker - or is it? Gothenburg sit in 11th place (of 16) after eight games while AIK are perched five spots above them in sixth.
Sweden, though, eh? Abba. Volvo. IKEA. Pippi Longstocking. Absolut. H & M. Saab. Ulrika Johnson...all good reliable staples (okay, scratch IKEA then) Is there nowhere that football isn't corrupt? I thought I could at least depend on the Allsvenskan League not to illegally arse about with my acca selections. I am incredibly naive, I know.
