They used to show the Road Pictures on tv several years back. I tried a couple, but could never get into them. Don't have anything against Hope or Crosby, they were amusing, but they are not high on my favorites list.
Never thought of it before, but the Dustin Hoffman-Warren Beatty movie Ishtar was a rip off of the Hope-Crosby series. They were not amusing.

I like it. Never noticed anything creepy about it. My favourite though is Road to Morocco.
