I don't think the movie will be delayed again. The studio will release it this time come hell or high water. It’s not going to be. MGM said they can’t.

Where the fuck have you been? Everyone has been vaccinated against Delta those dying are the ones that haven't and won't get vaccinated. Instead of trying to be a BBC correspondent keep up to date with vaccine numbers. Technically you’re right, but the younger kids still can’t get vaccinated. They should be able to literally this month!! The movie delays need to stop though. Most people are vaccinated is the truth and theaters ARE OPEN. They need to have things playing.

It looks more like a Brosnan Bond than it does a Craig. I really wish they’d followed the direction promised by Casino Royale instead of regressing into over the top action movies again.
And what is up with that blanket teal tint? Is every shot in this movie really going to be greenish blue?

And what is up with that blanket teal tint? Is every shot in this movie really going to be greenish blue? Regressing? Casino Royale had a gunfight in a sinking city, a black Spiderman jumping off buildings and cranes, Bond at the last second swerving his car missing Vesper tied to the road, a plane almost being blown up, planes sucking police cars off the ground and you think that wasn't over the top action. Lol.

Lol. There was clearly a massive regression in this franchise from Casino to Spectre. I could explain, but… Come on, man. It’s obvious. None of the reinvention from that first movie remains in Spectre. And swerving off a road is very different from ejecting from a car equipped with machine guns and flamethrowers, then parachuting down to safety.

I love how you skipped over everything else I said about your admittedly ridiculously ironic comment to focus on the car swerving that already severely undoes your point anyway. I mean what were you expecting of Bond films post Casino Royale exactly? Him gambling billions of pounds of MI6 money on roulette tables every sequel while drunk thinking about how he could've saved Vesper? This reminds me of a similar conversation I had with Winter King over the World is not enough and Christmas Jones.

I'm a fan of the Bond series and the wait has been excruciating. I'll see it on opening day. As for the possibilities of another delay, I can't see that happening. MGM can't afford to delay this anymore. It needs $900 million to break even, which it won't reach in today's climate, but the franchise will survive.

Bond fans want more of the old style back anyway. As for the teal look, it's overused, but when used well, I won't notice.

As much as I love Bond the big question is whether they can actually maintain this series by making the same movie over and over again. Casino Royale was such a refreshing take on this character. I just think it’s a shame they couldn’t continue with that style/characterization. Skyfall was pretty good though. As for the teal, it looks atrocious here. Totally ruins the otherwise solid looking cinematography.

Your idea of refreshing is baffling to be honest. It wasn't that radical. Bond girls have died in previous Bond films too so I really have no idea what you're getting at. The only change was the actor and he wasn't going to be Bond forever.

Meh looks lame. Bond franchise is finished, Mission Impossible has overtaken it in the last few years.

Totally ruins the otherwise solid looking cinematography. They still continued with the style/characterization as in the gritty seriousness and Bond with a darker, harder edge. Where I think they went wrong is having Bond go rogue continuously and having missions that are more personal than strictly business. Spectre is the worst offender with having Blofeld be you-know-what. Refreshing? What are you talking about? Casino Royale still had Bond in a tuxedo in a casino with a martini shaken not stirred. The only change was the actor and he wasn't going to be Bond forever. It felt refreshing because the usual tropes of the franchise were presented more organically rather being shown because it's tradition. The movie still opens with a gun barrel, but they incorporated it into the action. This Bond is more abrasive, naïve, and with a harder edge that hadn't been seen since the Dalton era. Bond girls have died before in the previous films, but at least we see the full effect a Bond girl's death has on him. It's quite different from Bond crying after his wife Tracy has been shot, and then in the next film, it's all been ignored.

The characterization of Bond actually is pretty good throughout the Craig run. But they definitely felt like they couldn’t come up with original cohesive stories to save their life without source material to fall back on. Even Skyfall, which I really enjoy, kind of comes off the rails halfway through. Then Spectre is just a stylish but lazy rehash of all the famous tropes until it becomes a corny soap opera. Casino Royale just really towers above the sequels in almost every way.

It's actually even more pathetic because Vesper wasn't in love with Bond but with some kidnapped idiot and was only using him to get the funds to free him. And Craig's Bond was never really abrasive he was competent that's not the same thing.

By abrasive, I mean he was acting in arrogance, which M and Vesper directly point out because he makes impulsive decisions without thinking of the consequences.

Bond has always been sort of reckless when it comes to the women in his life that's why he's Bond but he ultimately gets the job done. Most of Craig's personality was exemplified with Timothy Dalton anyway. I've never seen Bond be a complete choir boy.
