Just finished watching it... and HOLY SHIT! I did not expect it to be that good. The trailers did not do this movie justice.
It's not the best MCU movie IMO but it's definitely top tier. Best action scenes in any MCU movie anyway and a surprising amount of heart.
And to think I had almost zero interest in seeing this originally. Glad I changed my mind

Honestly this is currently the best thing to come out of phase 4 for me so far.
9/10 for me. Tony Leung made for a great antagonist! I was also surprised by how much I ended up liking Awkwafina as well.

Glad I changed my mind I haven't watched Shang-Chi yet but I highly doubt it has the best action scenes in the MCU. I can confidently say that.

So I guess it’s got a shot at Best Picture then?

So I guess it’s got a shot at Best Picture then? If not best picture than probably best supporting actor for Tony Leung!

Seems a bit early in this thread to start trolling don't you think? No, the guy trolling would be the one who says the best MCU film ever after previously not giving a fuck about the movie. I'm not denying it's good but best ever good? No.

Anyway, should have known better to try and engage you in conversation. Into the block list you go.

Not a great film, don't care if I ever see it again. I enjoyed the fight sequences, overall it was a mess. There's absolutely no reason his parents ever would've gotten together. The climactic CGI fest that ends with Shang-Chi going h2h with Cthulu or whatever was awful. I was just waiting for the movie to be over about 2/3rds of the way through, never thought I'd say that about a MCU film.
I thought the characters were interesting for the most part, but again the stuff with his parents made no sense at all, and they never sold me on why his father would be dumb/insane enough to buy into the demon's trick, even after being told it was obviously a trick; even after demons kept pouring out of the cave!
It didn't feel like a typical Marvel movie, which is actually a plus-- but that only made all the forced MCU references that much more distracting. Wong is a cage fighter now?! That doesn't fit with his character at all, and the idea that he's breaking Abomination out of prison to do it is beyond absurd. Trevor was completely unnecessary and while he was entertaining, they spent way too much time with him. One scene would've been enough. I didn't mind the Awkwafina character as Darcy 2.0, but let's not put her on the next Avengers roster.
Speaking of which, it was fun to see Captain Marvel at the end, and to start forming the next Avengers roster in my head. It's unfortunate that that was the highpoint of the movie for me.
Still highly anticipating Eternals, but I have a bad feeling Spider-Man and Doctor Strange are going to revolve around the worst aspects of this film-- pointless cameos and nods to previous films with no strong story of their own.
4/10, bottom tier of the MCU

Any theories on why Bruce is no longer in Hulk form? I hope they have a damn good reason to undo this offscreen. The cynic in me thinks it’s probably to save on CGI costs on the She Hulk tv show.

As for the parents getting together I've seen worse couples.

Maybe it will be explained in She Hulk? I'm curious too because Endgame made it look like Banner and Hulk became one being permanently.

It was never made explicitly clear that he was in his Hulk form forever after Endgame. He was burnt by the Infinity Stones but you yourself have made the leap no else did in assuming that.
