Whether driving yourself, or being driven by somebody else, what is the fastest speed you've ever achieved in your lifetime (not in an aircraft) on land or water ?? SAVE FERRIS

I worked with a guy who came back from overseas with PTSD. He was pretty crazy. He wanted to show me his new Mustang. We went for a drive and then he tells me he wants to show me how fast it goes. So he guns it. I'm like fuuuuck dude. Slow down I'm not even bucked in.
I went to his apartment once and he totally lost it. Screaming and everything. I looked at the woman who was there with me and asked her if she thought she could help me restrain him if we had to. She was like, I don't know.
Anyways that's the fastest I've gone I think.

You must live on the planet Earth! I do! You must be psychotic to know that! Well, the Milky Way is moving at about 1.3 million mph compared to the Local Group but speed is relative.

Whatever speed the UK intercity trains I’ve travelled on were going at.

I believe I rode the Frecciarossa 1000 bullet train in Italy, which would put me at 248 mph.

Back around 97 my girlfriend was in the high school homecoming parade and the local Pontiac dealership let us (her Mom actually, we were both too young to sign off on the paperwork) borrow a '97 Trans Am convertible. They let us keep it for the weekend so she and I dropped the top that night and pushed it as far as it would go on the freeway. I believe it was governed at 158 mph and we either hit that or were really close. The cool thing was there was a lot of wind buffeting from about 70 to 120ish until we hit about 130 mph and the wind was just blowing over and beside us, it was real smooth. I finally backed off, it was a little scary, especially since it wasn't our car.
I have a Dodge Challenger now with the V8 but I've only pushed it to about 100mph. My driving way fast days are way behind me.

Wait.....how fast did you end up going (or that you think you went, if you don't know the actual top speed he hit) ?? SAVE FERRIS

Cool.....but can't IMAGINE what a speeding ticket for more than 100 miles over the speed limit (if it was 55) would have cost, if you happened to have had the bad luck of getting 'clocked' that night !! I have traveled on high-speed trains in France, Italy and Japan. I am pretty sure some of those went faster than 320 km/h (200 mph).

Used to be a guy where my uncle lived. He had a ton of money from oil wells. He had a Lamborghini and used to give the younger crowd rides. He had it up to 175 on a long straight stretch. You wouldn’t have thought you were doing 80, until you looked out

Driving Myself (130mph pushed my Mustang to the limit on the German autobahn once) That’s really cool. I’d love to drive the autobahn one day. Guess the Mustang is sort of an “exotic” in Germany.
