he'll be back at one point. they all come around. goldberg, hogan, hart - the list goes on and on. 5 years from now a struggling balding Phil Brooks with a beer gut reading comic books ain't going to sound too 'hot' to AJ

No. A money deal won't change how he feels about WWE.

He felt bitter for about 10 years before he reached a deal with WWE again. CM Punk is looking to go down the same route or maybe longer, assuming he ever comes back.

CM Punk is looking to go down the same route or maybe longer, assuming he ever comes back. but with all do respect - Phil isn't/wasn't Bret Hart think if Phil shows up 10 years later in a 'Wolverine' T-Shirt still 'trying' to look cool these fans will care about him? think maybe Phil would have to win a UFC match? or maybe Phil would have to do - well - something................... i don't know. maybe the fans will still care about Phil. you always have that rabid old guy in the audience still screaming 'ECW' that just can't let go..............

Nah. Punk doesn't need it. He's one of the few guys that took care of his money. If he takes it, it's because he actually wants to return to the wrestling ring.
And unless he does something to become a huge star in mainstream entertainment, WWE won't come knocking with some real money to sway him.
Maybe, big maybe, for the Hall of Fame years down the road they might do some business. But the chances aren't good.

Superman and Phil is making appearances at Chicago Cubs and Blackhawks games accepting $100 checks for hanging out at the local 'stadium' pub to promote their bar all why being 'douchey' acting like the locals still care about him........ i say 'Mania 2020 is Trips Vs. Phil

Unless there's a 1.1 million offer frome someone we don't know about, he definitely should have taken it. The WWE shouldn't have offered it to him though. They don't need him for that price.

A lot of people clearly did not read the article. WWE didn't offer him 1 million dollars. It's an indy promotion called 5 Star Wrestling.

My opinion still stands. He should take it, but no one should be offering him that price.

If the WWE really brought back CM Punk then they would probably turn him into a jobber and have him lose to just about everyone!

If they had then WWE wouldn't even be in the conversation at all. I can't stand when people just read headlines and give a knee-jerk reaction based on that alone.

I can't believe WWE offered him that much money.
