No, it's perfectly normal to judge a movie as terrible from what "you understand" without watching it. I've never literally eaten shit, but I'm confident I wouldn't enjoy it. It's very simple, really. I didn't like the second one, the third one looked worse so I didn't see it. Everything I've read about it since has confirmed my suspicions that it was a disaster. Continue your angry defense of someone else's IP, though. Of course the ultimate irony here is that every time you disagree with me, you usually tell me not to watch things I don't like. Yet here you are telling me I can't complain if I haven't seen it. You're a trip, you really are. Um ultimately you didn't watch it and when have I angrily defended it? I've just in my latest reply above yours said that I felt the trailer was shit like Inception and Tenet. Learn to read a thread fully before replying. Thanks. |

I don't like putting people on ignore and rarely do, but Lux is a waste of space. I have had him on ignore for a long time, so I can't say for sure that he has never written anything of value or hasn't ever been pleasant. Maybe he has, but every response I have seen from him has been antagonistic.

There are a couple issue besides him looking like John Wick. 1. It doesn't have the feel of a Matrix movie at all based on that trailer. 2. A big part of what made The Matrix memorable is the revolutionary action scenes and after the first 2 movies, countless parodying and action scenes over the years inspired by The Matrix and building on that type of action, this movie is just going to have action that is redundant. 3. The lack of Laurence Fishburne and that clear replacement Morpheus.

I don’t know how likely this will be if the movie is successful, but I sincerely hope this will be a one-off. I don’t want it to be the start of a new trilogy or anything like that.

I don't know how I feel about the look. I mean it's just long hair and a beard. Pretty common look. Not necessarily just associated with the character of John Wick. I feel like Keanu has become so linked to that look now that the studio was probably like he should keep that for the new movie.

Matrix is retroactively seen as a trans allegory, and that could be part of why they let Keanu keep the long hair. Meanwhile, Trinity has and always had a "butch" look. |
