I will say, it looks interesting. Doesn't have the look or feel of a Matrix movie, but maybe that's a good thing?
So time has actually moved on in the Matrix. A common fan theory was that it was perpetually 1999.
The original Neo was the 6th "One", so I guess the reincarnation stuff stands to reason. I just don't get having YAM2 cosplay as Morpheus. He's not reincarnated, just remarkably similar? Or is he meant to be the same Morpheus and Larry was just too old and bloated? Hmm.

That female long hair and beard is specifically John Wick. You may have accidentally made a point. Matrix is retroactively seen as a trans allegory, and that could be part of why they let Keanu keep the long hair. Meanwhile, Trinity has and always had a "butch" look. There are plenty of butch lesbians that aren't trans... Yet. And Trinity sort of managed to look pretty decent in the costume.

Your right about the trans theme because the Wachowskis have mentioned that specifically. However @lux how is long hair exclusively female? Many men have long hair.

As we get closer to the release date, you can expect a lot of TV channels to run a Matrix movie marathon.

Does it say he is the 6th "One" in Reloaded? Or have I missed that in the original every time I have watched it?

Looks terrible; but then, only the first Matrix was ever any good. The second one was awful and I never bothered with the third. It's an absolute mess from what I understand. Reloaded is nuts and that is why I like it. I actually think it is more entertaining than the first movie. Revolutions is a borefest though. I agree with you on Reloaded. Upon release I think everyone was revolted by Reloaded, but watching it now it's just a truly insane movie. To me it's like this bizarre mix of Hong Kong action and Richard Linklater (think Slacker or Waking Life). It has a plot, but barely has a story. Instead the plot serves to get characters in position to either carry out mind blowing action or to listen to long mind blowing Ted Talks on philosophy. I did enjoy Revolutions more upon rewatches but it is the weakest of the trilogy. I really have high hopes for Resurrections.

Waking Life is actually my favorite Richard Linklater movie though.

It looks like a blatant rehash of the original. Same story. I'd rather watch the original. Or is it John Wick 5.

From my understanding it's supposed to be meta in vibe, and their are hints at the other movies being simulations from my understanding.

It looks entertainingly silly which happens to be how I felt about the previous ones (once I got over their self importance).
