If just to watch, I'd like to see the pyramids being built.

I'd like to transport to 2075 to see what I'll be missing. One of the things that bums me out about my own mortality is the FOMO of it all.

Human history? Ancient Egypt. Specifically New Kingdom during the reign of the pharaoh Akhenaten.
Any point in time? The Triassic Era. I wanna see some dinos!

(I love the invisible part.)
For me it would be Charles Dickens' England. And, I'd want to see the spectrum of sites, from the elegant and festive, to the seamier locales. I'd like to tag along with the Pickwick Club, on their travels, to see Marshalsea Debtors' prison where Little Dorrit visited her father ... and, I think Dickens' father did a stint there. I'd include the moors of Pip's Great Expectations, and the seaside that David Copperfield first knew.
I've enjoyed a few visits to current England, but I'd love to see how accurate my impressions are of his descriptions.

I think i would pick the High Middle Ages in the 12th century and just walk around and observe people to see how similar and how different people lived back than. And also see how different people lived in the high middle ages in different European countries.
I mean if i could transport anywhere in history and i could be invisible and observe. i would visit and observe as much as possible. from 3.2 million years ago until the day i was born in 1983. I would not pick any point in my life time because that is just boring.

Somewhere in the Mesozoic. Yes, that would be amazing. I'd love to smell the air, and drink the water before we f**ked up the planet.

I fear we've both romanticized the time period though, and life was really hard, (well except for the wealthy) I'd love to go to England in the flesh one day. But yeah, invisible would be great. And we wouldn't have to.. go ...in the pots under the bed.

I would love to transport to Elizabethan or Jacobean England to see a Shakespeare play at either the Globe or Blackfriers theatres. But I would want to have all my shots because of rampant diseases like the Plague. Medical treatment as we know it was non-existent and other deadly diseases might sweep you away in one day. Also mostly non-existent was basic sanitation. I wouldn’t want to be hit by the contents of a chamber pot flung from an upper story as I was walking through the streets of London. I would also be very wary of eating anything. These concerns are good for most every period in history. If the option was open, I would chose the future, as was mentioned in a previous post.
