Since I am convinced that child molestation is a mental illness, I will mention a few films, that I like, that touch on that subject as a mental illness:.

If you thought THE FATHER was the last word in cinematic depictions of ageing and dementia think again...

Though I’ve not seen it, Sybil (1976) is a highly regarded TV movie that brought considerable respect for Sally Field.
You owe it to yourself to see it, bravo. It's remarkable and Field's performance is unbelievable! Can't recommend it highly enough. Definitely one of the best films about mental illness I have seen.
