Some kid shows have adult undertones they won't understand.

Well there’s that recent Banana Splits movie but I think I knew it wasn’t child friendly as soon as it was mentioned.

Robocop
There were all kinds of action figures dedicated to making me enjoy Robocop. But you may not want your 8 year old son watching the movie. It’s a pretty hard R.

Along the same lines I thought of Jurrassic Park. Big when I was a kid...ya know kids love dinos. They aren't gonna understand the message always though.

Some kid shows have adult undertones they won't understand. Having re-watched a few of the earlier episodes of the original animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles show on DVD. I found myself rather amused at some of the lines and scenery, specially when April O'neill were involved. Of course, as a kid, it was sent as Hero Turtles (because Ninja were seen as too "dangerous" to kids, or something like that here in Europe/Scandinavia), but I never really got around to re-watch the series, with the original voices, until much later. And yeah, I sure picked up quite some hilarious moments, and loved how sleazy some of them turned out to be or appear. I believe already within the 80-90 minutes (or 4-5 episodes) pilot episode, "How it all began", included a scene where April appears on the late night news broadcast, and the Turtles are down in the sewer, when Mikey (or was it Raphael?) suddenly burst out something like: "Hey guys, let's scope out some boob tube!" and the next image, I am pretty sure we got to see an over sized and upclose image of April and her cleavage, that almost is trying to burst through the tv screen. Also, Leo seems to have a nasty peak or look at April and her oversized chest, during a scene in that pilot episode, and the moment when he does, is when he "polishes his Katana sword", and has that sleazy stare. There must be tons of these moments, or maybe they kind of were toned down later on, but early on, there seems to be lots of that happening. I really need to re-watch those earlier episodes/seasons, as the later ones, were really poor, both in story and even lazier in animation.

I saw a dad take his daughter to “Joker” (2019) when I saw it in theaters.
She looked like she was 9 years old.

'Stop Or My Mom Will Shoot' (1992) was condemned at the time as being surprisingly racy and it caused some walkouts at the cinema.
